| Notice of Employment Opportunity: Executive Director Quaker Housing Inc, a non-profit corporation providing housing to low income seniors and persons with disabilities on Madison’s south side, has an immediate opening for an Executive Director. The Executive Director is the lead employee for the management, direction and leadership of Quaker Housing Inc, and is responsible for carrying out the policies and directions of the Board of Directors, and includes HUD program compliance, leasing, staff supervision, procurement and contracting. The position is full-time salaried, with compensation as negotiated depending on education, skills and experience, and includes benefits. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, public administration, business or related field, and three or more years progressively responsible experience in housing management or related field, including supervisory and budgetary/financial responsibility. | Wait List Closed The waiting list for Quaker Housing is closed as of February 17, 2010. We are currently fully leased, and the average wait for an apartment now exceeds six months for both seniors and persons under 62 with disabilities. We are grateful that we are able to provide housing for so many, but are also saddened by the extent of the need that is not being met. | |
